Sponsorship

No family who needs Trellis goes without it.

When someone subscribes to Growth, they can add a $5/month contribution that funds Roots+ access for families who've applied for sponsorship. No means-testing, minimal paperwork — just support, family to family.

If you genuinely can't afford it

We've set aside funds — contributed by other Trellis families — to cover one full year of Roots+ access for families who need it. Roots+ unlocks unlimited history, every team member you want to invite, advanced PDF reports, and priority support.

There's no means-testing. No tax returns. No paperwork. We ask you, in your own words, what's happening — a short description is all we need. The honor system is the system.

  • One-year sponsored Roots+ subscription, fully funded.
  • Renewable annually if circumstances haven't changed.
  • Roots tier remains free for everyone, sponsored or not — you don't need to apply just to use Trellis.
  • All applications are human-reviewed. We aim to respond within a few business days.

You'll need a Trellis account to apply. Creating one is free and takes about a minute.

If you want to sponsor a family

When you subscribe to Growth, you can add a $5/month contribution at checkout. That money flows directly into the sponsorship pool — it doesn't enter our general operating account. Trellis covers the payment processing fees so your contribution lands in full.

You can stop your contribution at any time, and your Growth subscription continues unchanged. We publish the active sponsored-count and sponsor-count on this page so you can see exactly what the pool is doing.

  • $5/month, opt-in at checkout for any Growth subscriber.
  • Funds Roots+ subscriptions for approved sponsorship applicants.
  • Anonymous to recipients — they don't see who paid for their access.
  • Trellis takes no margin from sponsorship dollars.

The commitment behind it

We made sponsorship a core feature, not an afterthought, because Trellis is built for the people who carry the most and who often have the least margin to spend on tooling. If you need this and can't pay for it, we'll find a way. If you can pay for it and want to help, we'll route your help straight to a family who needs it.

That's the deal. It doesn't change.
